Just an update, I took out the 80 gig and put the 60 in, upon booting up the PS3 tells me that the HDD has to be formatted before I am able to use it and asks me if I want to format now. When I hit no I then get a message telling me unable to start, wrong disk inserted or something along those lines. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of...
Read it as an external drive with your PS3 or with a regular PC? Maybe you could hook it up to a PC and use a recovery program to snatch some of the data proper off it. That's a bit of work just for some game saves, but the data is there....there has to be a way to get it off, eh?
