Anyone "handy" with a PS3?
Or does anyone know anything in depth about the inner workings?
I own/HAD a 60gig launch system. Long story short, the dogs went #1 on the system yesterday and I put my fist into it in a fit of rage, very high quality build as no markings on the outside, however when taking it apart to clean up the urine (turns out none got inside anyway) it seems I had managed to buckle in the top of it enough to put quite a large dent in the blu-ray drive as well as the power supply and I am sure damaging some of the caps and or chips on the mobo in the process. I got the 60gig HDD out and it seems totally fine as far as physical looks go. I had to destroy the drive to get out my disk that was stuck in it (also the system was dead from the blow, I put it back together and it wouldn't even power up it just beeped a few times and died before I tore the drive open)
My question is, is there anyway at all I can save the data off the 60 and transfer it to the new 80 I just bought or all my game saves gone?
I posed this same question on the playstation.com boards but that place is just a cesspool of ignorance and immaturity.
