I find it tempting for sexual gratification, but as an actual romantic partner, I would not wish to program them. If they're upset at me, I truly don't want the ability to end that with the flip of a switch. To know that any emotion felt by them can be altered at will is too much to bear.

Their self, everything that they represent, becomes nothing more than a facade to please the human. I need a partner that I can stand on roughly equal ground with, not a robot whose inner thoughts are entirely in these hands of mine.
