Persepolis -- 9/10
A true example that animated media can tell a story just as powerful as real-life cinema. This movie is about Marjane, an Iranian girl that grows up in Europe and Iran and has to come with terms about how her country has changed throughout her life. I really like how this movie can evoke emotion (suspense, dread, laughter, pride) in Marjane and her family even though the animation style is so different than the cartoony, 3D style of animated movies these days.
