You're named after two guitar brands. I'd call you Duncan. And nobody would know why.
I haven't ever really had any nicknames. I like to think that I am distinctive enough that I don't need a nickname. People just know who I am naturally.
Interesting anecdote relating to this: I have recently returned to work after a long illness-related absence. There are large numbers of people who recognize me and I don't recognize them. I feel bad for not knowing who they are.
Also, a man on the street (literally, as in I was walking along the street and there he was) approached me in a familiar fashion the other day. 'Good to see you, I see you still have your hat!' I still have no idea who he was. I think this must be what being famous feels like. Everyone knows you, you know nobody.
The only nickname I have comes from a young lady in my life, who calls me 'mystery man' for reasons known only to her. I've speculated on why this should be in the past, but I'm still unsure.
