I have a favorite here too - same as Abaya, actually: Babeland. It's not creepy at all, they have a fine selection of toys, literature, movies, and condoms, and it's a boutique sort of feeling without the snootiness.
I've gone with friends and with my husband (Q), but never seen anyone there I know. Not that I'd care much... I'm pretty blunt/open about my opinions on sex.
