I see this on a daily basis, as I work in a glass factory. Imagine a big glass baking dish traveling slowly down a conveyor belt (along with hundreds of other bake dishes) and all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, one of them just blows apart into thousands of tiny pieces.
Now imagine having to clean up that mess all day long. Thankfully, I don't have that particular job any more, but when I first hired on I did just that for 8 months.
