I knew I'd take flack for this, but I stand by it. The demo only gives you a quarter of the creature parts to play with, and while fun, I would hardly spend hours on that alone. And I still refuse to pay even 5 dollars for a "full" demo, when all a demo really is is an interactive advertisement for the game.
Don't get me wrong, it's genius marketing by Maxis and EA, because they know the anticipation for this game is huge, just like the anticipation for GT4. But in my opinion, its dirty pool.
Now if they were gonna give me $10 off of the game after paying 10 for the demo, while still a little grumbly, I'd go along with it. They should have done something like if you preorder the game, you get the full version of the demo, and if not, you have to be satisfied with the trial demo. Again, just my opinion, and my opinion only matters to my wallet, not yours.
Having said all of this, I'll still be right there in September with my $50 to buy the game.
