Today, I recommend
Night on Earth directed by Jim Jarmusch. I like most of Jarmusch's films.
Night on Earth was the first one I saw. It's a series of short stories about people on cab rides at night around the world. A lot of recognizable actors are in the film, including Roberto Benigni in a heartwarming story about an Italian cab driver and his love of pumpkins. An added bonus: Tom Waits wrote the music for the film.
