I was devoutly religious for most of my life. I had an unhealthy attitude toward sex during that time, and only recently can I say that the residual subconscious inhibitions are really gone. It took me 6 years from the time I left the church to get to this point. If she starts then stops when she feels guilty, she wants to, she just needs time to get used to it. If you really want to stay with her and she's starting to open up, I think you'll find a common ground.
You're being a big man about it and the fact that you're being so reasonable and accommodating of her beliefs is admirable.
