Just curious if anyone has ever heard of this before.
A very close friend of our family, an 18 year old girl (pictured in
this thread) found out in a pretty horrible way that she is diabetic. She hadn't been feeling well and had lost a lot of weight quickly so she went to the doctor. Yesterday they called her and had her mom take her to the hospital ASAP as her blood sugar was
799. I didn't know you could have such a high blood sugar and not be in diabetic coma. Over the course of last night, her blood sugar spiked to
935 before they brought it back down. I guess she's pretty much acting like her usual self... how is that even possible?! I don't have diabetes, but I have friends and family that do. I've never even heard of such a high level. Has anyone else?
