yes I agree it is private loans, I am able to state I would like to purchase something, if I have collateral or good credit, then why does it make a difference?
Again, I didn't qualify for federal funds and grants. I did have a choice of paying with private loans which I decided to not do, and I worked to pay for my own schooling especially initially. Knowing computers in the late 80s was very lucrative, and my parents did eventually repay me some of the money I paid out.
But the idea here is that private banks are deciding based on University, not on creditworthiness, unless I'm totally reading this the wrong way.
