I'm sorry I had to manipulate you into doing actual research on this, but it seemed like the only way. BTW, you're list isn't correct. Scalia was nominated under the
99th Congress, which had a Republican majority of 53/47.
Getting back to my point, Scalia, Roberts and Alito are the most Republican-voting members of the Supreme Court, followed by Thomas (who was confirmed fifty-two to forty-eight,
the narrowest Supreme Court confirmation vote of the twentieth century).
Stevens (who became liberal after becoming a supreme court justice), Souter, Ginsberg and Breyer are the most Democrat-voting members of the Supreme Court.
Kennedy is the swinger.
You do see the pattern, right?
