Whoa, whoa. Actually the character of Indiana Jones was created by George Lucas. Lucas and Speilberg were on vacation somewhere, and Speilberg mentioned that he still really wanted to make a James Bond movie, but Cubby Broccoli wouldn't let him. George Lucas said he had a better character: Indiana Smith (it was later changed to Jones). So actually it was Speilberg who wanted to make a James Bond movie (and I still think they should let him try, especially since the series restarted), and George Lucas created the Indiana Jones character.
