RGS, I disagree. Strongly.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 8.9/10

What's more entertaining than Iron Man, more visually stimulating than Speed Racer, has a sense of nostalgia better than fifty Chronicles of Narnia? Dr. Henry Jones, Jr., of course. Indiana Jones 4 has everything I was hoping for and a lot more. I won't give away anything, but as a real die-hard Indiana Jones fan, I left the theater completely satisfied.

Except for one small, tiny, insignificant thing. A thing that goes by the name of Shia. Or Shiuh. Or Shiyuh. I'm not 100% sure. Spoiler: It's not that I didn't want to give him a chance. I did. But there comes a point when even legends like Spielberg and Lucas aren't able to see that a young actor can't shoulder the weight they expect. Shia was perfect in Transformers, where we needed a relatable character. The SON of Indiana Jones? No. I'm afraid that role, or rather that fedora, is far too big for Shia. Maybe in a few years, when he has developed more as an actor, but not yet. It may simply be that the person for this role doesn't exist, which would be sad, but I suspect there were better choices out there, among the 3ish billion males.

But seriously, aside from that it was everything. Sweeping cereal epic with John Williams taking us back to childhood, where we learned what it meant to be a hero.
