Ha! That's funny. I guess I thought it was called an abaya in other places, too (Iraq, Saudi, etc) but I could be wrong. That's just how American journalists tend to write about women's clothing in those countries, I noticed later on (wearing an abaya).
Anyway, yes, you were close... married to a Lebanese (and he doesn't have an abaya himself, actually!).
