Holy crap I think I just found a pidgin replacement!
It is called Digsby. It is an IM, email, and social networking tool in one. I don't need it to run my emails, Thunderbird handles that and my RSS feeds. But it runs perfectly with all my instant messengers, minus my IRC channels, but also updates crap from my myspace page. There seems to be something wrong with it's facebook plugin (it doesn't ask for a password and then says authentication error, gee-wiz I wonder why?), but the Facebook IM seems to work. It is still a beta but it might already take over for pidgin.
Cross Platform compatible.
