Mandy, if it is a fraud, how did these scammers know you where you were applying, or applying at all? At this point you should consider your emails, social-networking sites, and/or career hunter accounts hijacked.
While I personally would not go for this opportunity given how scant of detail they are willing to give you (not scant in the amount of detail that is going into this scam), I would:
- Call the main office of whatever company they say they are. Find the number online, not use the numbers they give.
- Swing by the Free/Open-Source thread, and take a peak at my security section, specifically Keepass.
