I often think about the guy I'm seeing, but putting him in scenarios we haven't had.
I have to say I never fantasize about movie stars or the like.
Very very occasionally I think about guys I actually know and find interesting (and sexually attractive), but haven't had any dating or other-stuff interaction with.
So would it appear that gals often think about their guy, and guys often think about Not Their Gal?
