Sounds to me like they trust you to be the guy to bring the other shop up to higher standards - that's a compliment. They also were considerate enough to give you the job closer to where you live - after you quit!
Life (and career advancement) is all about challenges. Face this and improve that shop, and you're on the fast track to district manager, or whatever their particular title is.
A job without challenge is truly something to rant about.
