Well the first problem I noticed is that you are using Norton.
A lot seem to be using AVG, never tried it myself
I used to have Panda, total system hog, I don't recommend that to anyone.
Right now I am using Kaspersky and I find it to be great, no problems so far and it does not seem to eat up too many resources.
I actually looked into Node32, costs like 40 american or something for me to get, but I was able to get an OEM version of Kaspersky internet security for 20 bucks (70 or 80 at futureshop)
