Eh, I thought the video was fairly humourous when I first saw it. I don't think it's valid to say that finding humor in it is making light of sexual assault...because she wasn't sexually assaulted. This video is totally separate from sexual assault.

Part of the reason it's amusing is because both the mom and the daughter are being rather stupid about the whole thing. The daughter certainly could have been safer about meeting someone from the internet, but generally speaking the odds were on her side in terms of safety. The mother, on the other hand, comes across as one of those "everyone on the internet is a murdering rapist!" people...and the fact she geels the need to call all of her daughter's friends when she didn't get home by 10pm is just further evidence of that paranoia and overprotection.

As much of a jerk as the brother was being, I think he was probably the only one who saw how ludicrous both of them were being.
