I totally get this one. I think you have to live it to understand.
Some of us might have a kitchen that's about 2x4 (literally) with zero counterspace, barely room for one, no storage space, etc. and may find it difficult to get motivated without enough space for preparation, etc. Even if you have sufficient space, maybe the kitchen's closed off and you'd be more likely to cook if your kitchen was open so you could converse with others on the other side of your counter.
