What is the world's longest yo-yo spin?
The record for the world's longest yo-yo spin, or better known as the sleeper, has two categories; fixed axle and transaxle.
A fixed axle yo-yo has no moving part, the axle is attached to the sides and spins through a loop in the string.
The world's longest fixed axle sleeper was set by Tim Redmond at the Massachusetts State Championships in Amherst, Massachusetts on March 26 2006 at 2 minutes 53.61 seconds.
A transaxle yo-yo has an outer sleeve over the axle, sometimes filled with ball bearings, which spins independently from the yo-yo.
The world's longest transaxle sleeper was also set by Tim Redmond at the Pennsylvania State Yo-Yo Championships on May 28 2005 at 16 minutes 17.18 seconds.
