Local man attempts sex with horse

A Bellefonte man who allegedly tried to have sexual intercourse with a horse was arraigned on criminal attempt and disorderly conduct charges Friday.
A woman who keeps her horse in Deerfield Farms stables, Port Matilda, said she walked in on the man as he was attempting to have sexual intercourse with the animal.
Dale Burris, 54, was arraigned before District Justice Brad Lunsford on one count of criminal attempt, one count of sexual intercourse with animals and one count of disorderly conduct. Burris' preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 14 at the Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
Burris was unavailable for comment yesterday.
