I can't be blamed if you can't comprehend the historical significance and reasoning behind the illegality of starvation. As a matter of fact, I should be applauded for attempting to educate you.
In all seriousness, starvation is torture.
Torture is the intentional infliction of suffering, be it physical, mental or emotional. The withholding of necessary food causes physical and emotional suffering. This is completely obvious and self evident. Prima facie.
