I don't know the exact requirements, but I know that the process for becoming a doctor in Canada is essentially the same as it is in the US, at least from what I understand of it : undergrad>MCAT>Med school>Residency. I should imagine that if you get your PhD stateside you'll be able to bring it up here with little to no fuss; I'm almost entirely sure that it's fully translatable. Regardless, we are experiencing a shortage of physicians nationwide at the moment and have been for a few years now, so any new doctors will be welcomed with open arms I should think.
