No one expected any form of intertainment to be a direct expression of reality. Entertainers just do what sells. I mean when you look at those teen movies do u really expect a real prom to be like that?
As for the social issues do the black communities. I think the author made a very good point about the sterotype and segragation that still exist between the white and the black today.
