And.... one should be vigilant about one's diet. As Charl was saying, once in a while doesn't kill anyone. But steady consumption (more than once or twice a month perhaps) is insane, i.e. not rational.
A balanced, rational diet should go a long way to reducing heard disease. Fast food is purely a stop-gap for convenience sake and shouldn't be part of one's daily routine.
*edit, I'm a bit of a coffee snob, but I've noticed that their new brew is quite palatable, more to it than Timmy's but less so than Second Cup or Starbucks. I have no compunction in picking up a traveller from McD's while on the road.
