Punk is definitely not dead... it's just not anywhere near the mainstream. The point is, who cares if some other subculture is annoying. It just seems ridiculous to beat someone up over it.
Get over yourself (i.e. not anyone here per se, just those who would stoop so low as to use violence in such a fashion).
