Within the past 24 hours, I ate around 1 - 1.5 lbs. of sausage from a small family farm. (They were gifts.) They were tasty, and I feel fine.

Why is it that my stomach feels like I swallowed something I shouldn't have after eating only one "sausage" patty at McDonalds?
