Well, if the guy cant stop the devil making him try to kill his own child in a awful and grusome manner - I wouldnt have thought he would make much of a preacher in any sense.
If the child lives it is not appropriate that he swings for it, but I think you have to look at a life with no parole for 30 years for something like this.
