Whether or not you agree with that, I think it's a step in the right direction, but I also think that parents have some degree of responsibility in teaching their kids the right things about personal finance. I agree schools should be teaching PF, I took it in HS. But in all reality I think parents should teach their kids about banking and financial matters. I know my father taught me from an early age about earning and spending money. His concept was pretty simply- spend less money then you earn.
