You hit it right there. There's no point of comparison between illegal aliens and political refugees, they're totally different breeds, 'till this day, any Mexican, Guatemalan, Austrian, French, whatever, can ask for political asylum in the US and it will be granted if their reasons are validated, this has nothing to do with crossing the river at night avoiding La Migra looking for a better live.
