Seems like quite a stretch to me. I think the admirals resignation is pretty big news. He states going to war with Iran would be a huge mistake and about four hours after it comes out he's resigning. I think there's a definite connection there, but to say they planned out when to release the info on Spitzer to pull this out of the news cycle, well I just don't give the Bushies that much credit.
