Well, given they're the ones who left their homes and came to another country to work their ASSES off cleaning houses and gardening for rich white people to feed their families back home, I guarantee you they're not void of all personal responsibility. See, that's the kind of thinking I have a real problem with--you're interacting with the phenomenon of immigration as if you were under invasion. You're not looking at the immigrant's situation.
The whole thing sucks, okay? But dealing with it by clamping down on them once they're here is like putting makeup on skin cancer. It looks like we're doing something, but the world stays out of whack and the economic forces behind immigration charge along completely uninterrupted.

Yeah, well, I agree that what we do to legal immigrants is pretty appalling, especially since 9/11. What we do to illegals is downright inhuman.
