Expressive ability varies from language to language. Apparently English and Mandarin are great languages for puns; French and Japanese are great for poetry and German is terrible for humour but excellent for technical language use.
Essentially, I recommend having several tool kits- but equally, consider that the best moments in your life may not involve any words at all.
