Another day, another problem.
I ran into a problem as soon as I have installed the latest drivers from nVidia website for my new 8800GT 512MB card. I could not find the resolution I was using with my previous computer (1600x1024 on EVGA 6600GT 128MB). I tinkered around with the custom resolution settings and with much trouble (scaling issues), I got 1600x1024 to be selectable from the Display Settings menu. The problem is that every time I restart, the resolution resets to 1440x900 and disappears from custom resolution settings on nVidia panel.
Why doesn't 8800GT support 1600x1024 resolution out of the box with the latest driver (while my 6600GT does) and what can I do to fix this problem?
