Column failure due to fire is virtually impossible, so let's first look at possible damage.
The columns that would have had to give completely in order to account for the collapse are deep in the building. There is only one photograph showing any damage, and it's not 100% trustable considering that other photographs have surfaced that contradict it.
Despite this, I must concede the following point, absent any additional evidence:
Asymmetrical damage could have theoretically caused a symmetrical collapse.
Again, I will revisit this in greater detail when I have the time and energy.
