Interesting. But fascinating that this writer still believes that whites create things to destroy blacks. "It was a white hand fueling black America's dementia—the white hand of crack cocaine." Why has our country always leaned that way: that whites want to rid the nation of blacks? This is not true, and any rational person can understand it. I tire of the constant reminder that this might be true. In a random search for racial disparity and crack cocaine, it was found that, "Approximately 2/3 of crack users are white or Hispanic, yet the vast majority of persons convicted of possession in federal courts in 1994 were African American, according to the USSC." This means that the police force is expecting blacks to be selling and using instead of whites, and make arrests as such. Of course that is unfair to target them. Crack was not created to target a specific culture, group, or race. It was created to make packaging, distribution and usage easier, nothing more. This clearly does not target blacks.
