I know the first time I saw them was 1980 at something called the "Oregon Jam" Heart, Joan Jet, BOC and Foreigner. Foreigner was huge at the time and was the so called head liner. Heart opened and their sound system sucked. It was over 100 out and I was thinking I can't believe I paid $12 for this. Then Jet came out and tore the place up. I kind of figured after that it might be all down hill, until the BOC put her to shame. Then Foreigner came out so coke up they didn't even know their own songs, people booed... then people left.
Anyway BOC's been a main stay of mine since.
Still think who ever put Heart and BOC on the same ticket should be shot. I heard later the promoter turned down Molly Hatchet in favor of Heart.
