Wow, CDaddy. Your post is very provocative. It is passionate. It is the stuff of life that I'm afraid of and seek out at the same time.

The most alive I have ever felt was the first 48 hours after giving birth, and the last 120 hours of my dad's life.

Although I have certainly never been in the most hellish of situations you were, I have felt that "apathy" a couple of times and each time it was related to death. It was sort of empowering until...

I like you and your passion. I like your writing, your word choices. I'm glad you're back and that I didn't miss out.
