My nephew by my first marriage is an IT hardware tech, nearly your height, as geeky as they come. During an IT slowdown, over ten years ago, he moved to Hong Kong. He is called "Giant *****" there now, is happily married to an Asian woman and is the father of one child. He has enjoyed there, the work, food, society, to the point that he has only returned here, two or three times, to visit.
Just something to think about, if you're not thrilled with the way your life is, presently....due to terminal geekiness....
