The way I look at it I only compete with the guys on the server I'm playing, so my stat total doesn't bother me. Sometimes I'm the angel of death on a server if everyone else is lower skilled, other times I'm fighting to stay in the upper middle of the pack.
I don't think the PC side has a wall of bullets perk, never heard of it at any rate.
I've used double tap and I wasn't impressed. I tend to die more needing to reload so emptying the clip faster doesn't do much, I'd rather have the extra damage perk.
My normal set up 90% of the time is bandoleers, whatever that damage perk is called, and steady aim.
