If you do decide to go with the Wii, get a Gamefly membership (if you don't have one already). Best money I spend every month, plus we've been able to keep the games we like, and it's a LOT cheaper than buying new Wii games.
For what it's worth, I love my Wii--and so does everyone else. It is very much a social gaming system--really brings people together.
