Does a man love his car more than he loves his first lady?

Granted men love women, at least that is a universal held belief that a man’s heart should be filled with thoughts, concerns and care of his first lady and anything else will follow.

However, there is a masculine trend that has been closely followed by the feminine gender that seems to be on the contrary with the aforementioned general and universal belief.

It would seem men love their cars first and their women later. Societal Scales has it that women cry foul they do not get as much attention from their mobile-incensed hubbies and lovers as their automobiles do.

That should be a serious romantic imbalance and the first one of its kind where a woman is battling it out for love of his man with a non-living thing.

Scales has known women fighting women over a man.

Here is the diligently in love Sonto fighting Lindiwe over the love of the amorous Sibusiso or she could fight the man who seems to be hanging at his mother’s aprons. But today, women fight their husbands’ cars. Some have gone the entire distance and smashed the automobiles beyond recognition, burnt them or destroy the engine. All because a man loves and values his car far more than the woman he is suppose to dot on. These three-legged animals just love their cars and women hate the cars with a passion. From his first income, a man would neglect any sort of expenditure and concentrate on buying a car. There is a time in a man’s life where the color, shape, size and model does not matter. So long as he has a car he can call his own life better, complete and the gentleman blissful. Through his car, he can have most desires of his hearts including the very woman who comes to fight him over the automobile.

Scales can bet that societal women love a man who has a car. In his battered old Ford Sierra, Steven could be able in one day to see Ntombi at Pigg's Peak, Nokwanda at Hawane and finally relax with Gladys at Big Bend all in one day. That would not have been possible with the chap being a passenger aboard Mdumiseni Bus Service that would take a day to bring him one of his girls. A beautiful and sleek car can make a man feel realy good and ladies just love that man. He would cut across the country in an aimless ride so that he could show off what a beauty his car is.

Women in marriage understand that the man’s car comes first than everything in the house. A broken down car can send her husband tossing and turning in bed thinking how he would fix it. And it would fix at whatever costs. Some cars have been fixed at a cost far above their book value. School fees for son S’bhuluja would have to wait, assistance to the ailing aunt Lomandiya will come to a halt so that all the money in the house would fix the skorokoro sababe atohlambuluka umuntfu lomdzala. Once a man owns a car, without it he looks a sorry sight like a bird without the feathers that make it flamboyant. He has his wings clipped and cannot be excited even by his wife nudged pretty close to him.

This gives women the feeling that the bastards love their cars more than they love them. This is an imbalance.

Women at times do comprehend what a car means to a man. It is his identification of progress, success and status in society. Those ladies with a privilege to drive their men’s cars should have it drummed into their soft skulls that they ought to take extreme care of these machines. They would knock them, get them scratched and call it small dents yet this things hurt the man deeply. This couple had taken a holiday far away, and out of love, the man let madam drive the car. She could not change the gear in time and the car was complaining. The man failed to stomach his anger as it blurted out, “yeyi wena utangibulalela lemoto yami, damn it. The holiday was spoilt from there. Both were angry, madam at being shouted and Umnumzane for his car driven badly.

For the love of their cars, men have begotten themselves the wrath of their women. Ladies hate these cars at the same wavelength they are loved by the bastards animals. Why these automobiles will take Vusi to Florence, Carol and to any Gertrude he can fall in love with. If the car isn’t a competitor to the woman in love with the car owner, it is most likely to bring the lady as many female competitors. This is a very serious dilemma!

Will men get rid of their cars or rather prefer their women more than the cars? This is a balance that lies deep in the man’s heart. It would seem a man without his car is like an emu- a big useless and flightless bird. He can’t have his desires, dreams and aspirations met. He cannot even afford to please his woman when his car is not around. Would men answer this question- do they love their cars more their First Ladies?

Definitely a must read for the wife of any petrolhead.

Cameron originally envisioned the Terminator as a small, unremarkable man, giving it the ability to blend in more easily. As a result, his first choice for the part was Lance Henriksen. O. J. Simpson was on the shortlist but Cameron did not think that such a nice guy could be a ruthless killer.
