I have a 2 blade gilette, but will probably go back to a Mach 3 soon. I also want to get a boar's hair brush, never used manual lather, but surely it's better than canned stuff.

I'll have to try that, never thought of it. I've been thinking of getting decent shave-related men's products but am too lazy, so hopefully it helps a bit.
