Oh, I'm not upset. I thought the bit about 'my feelings may have been hurt' made that clear, since the implication is that my feelings aren't hurt. Despite the fact that I'm reasonably sure MrSelfDestruct meant it exactly as harshly as it seems to read, I was simply observing that I don't particularly care if he or anyone else thinks my hat makes me look like a 'dork.' While I didn't outright state it, I think it'd be logical to conclude that anyone else who wears a fedora (or a top hat or any other type of hat other than a ball cap) is similarly unaffected. You'd have to be; people who spend a lot of time worrying about the opinions of others don't generally buy hats or clothes that are outside mainstream fashion.
As to getting laid, women like men with confidence. Men who wear hats like those depicted here generally are confident. I get very positive responses regarding my fedora.
