I got 42 but I missed a couple I should have got right. I'm disappointed, so I'll try again. I've always been better with technical, science, etc. than words and writing.
The note on the page said that the ads on the page pay for the rice. Pretty cool.
It gave the number of rice grains donated so far, total is 8,551,031,610 ...I'll have to figure out how many pounds/kilos of rice that is since it doesn't sound like a lot.
On the political side ....check out how all the countries are doing with this program ...why am I not surprised that the U.S. does not seem to be doing well at all. The next page allows you to write a letter to support the program.
PS: I'll add this here instead of a new post to minimize my OT'ness:
According to
http://www.riceassociation.org.uk/factsandfigures.htm there are over 29,000 grains of rice in a pound of long grain rice. So that would make the total above approx 140+ tons. Nice start, but that can't be enough.
