I was just over the "30yo" hump when he was killed and I first saw him/The Beatles in 1963 live in Philadelphia, and to me they were very signficant from that moment on, and he was a large part of that signficance.

I really don't think John would want to "R.I.P." Probably he'd rather have us all keep up the struggle toward peace.
